7 completed. Callbacks to the eighth, a land triple,

| Test
#8: Land Triple |
This
triple was set up in a bale field with the post
up on a hill overlooking the scene. The right
gun fired first throwing right to left with the
long retired gun in the middle throwing second
from left to right. The left hand go bird was
thrown from right to left onto a mound. These
guns were out there about 150-175 with the punch
bird in the middle at about 275 yard. There were
a few handles with most dogs doing quite well
in one fashion or another.
After
the eighth series, three more dogs were dropped.
They were: 20, 31,and 65 -Seventeen
remain in contention. |

| Test
#9: Water Blind. |
 |
This
blind was situated about 300 yards out with a hidden
post over a slight incline. There were 4 water entries
through a simulated meandering creek with every
point being scented. There was no dog who breezed
through this one and there was a lot of whistling
and arm waving throughout the series. No dog made
it look easy. After
the 9th, eleven dogs remained as potential finalists.
They are: 7, 22, 29, 38, 44, 46, 60, 68, 73, 74,
and 77. Those lost:; 39, 42, 67, 81, 83, and 97.
A water quad was on deck for the 10th. |

| This
was the usual big finale to a National event with
4 gunners out there and the left outside being retired.
