Ninth Series Water Quad in Progress Fifteen dogs were called back to the Ninth Series, which is a Water Quad with two flyers, a boat bird, and a retired gun.

Dog No. 1 started the Ninth Series at 3:00 pm. Nine of the fifteen dogs called back ran this test today, ending with Dog No. 59 at 5:10 pm. There are six more dogs remaining to run the Ninth Series, which is scheduled to resume at 7:30 am on Saturday morning.
Of the nine dogs that ran the Ninth Series this afternoon five handled: 20, 22, 33, 51, and 53. The 1997 National Field Champion will be named tomorrow afternoon. The Tenth Series is slated to be Land Marks and will probably be the last test of the 1997 National Open. But you never know -- reports are that one dog may be able to decide that on Saturday during the ninth series.
Working Retriever Central will post updates on Saturday's proceedings after the Ninth Series is complete -- and then post the Winner and Finalists as soon as possible after they are announced on Saturday afternoon.
