Saturday morning the test started at 8 AM with Master
A & B together. The test seems to be moving
along very well. The weather, I am afraid, is being
typical of South Carolina today, partly cloudy and
mid to high 80’s. This is our first “typical warm”
weather day.
In talking to handlers, owners, workers, and
spectators we gathered a few of their comments
and thought you might be interested in what everyone
had to say about anything. Lots of people had
very similar comments about the weather, the test
and just about anything and everything, so we
are going to present just a sample.
#1 response from most people
“It’s been fun.”
Skip Laney “I’ve had a good time.”
Tongue in cheek “We would like
to thank the Boykin Spaniel for being the official
pick- up dog of the Master National Retriever
Society. As you all know the Boykin Spaniel is
the official dog of South Carolina. Mr. Mick did
a wonderful job.” Of course this was from
Mr. Mick’s owner. (Mr. Mick did do pick-up duty
on Friday.)
“Say Hello to Ron Coverdale & Hi to Norma”
from Annie
“Great National, wish you were here! Great test,
a lot of nice dog work here.” Bill Swanson
“Thanks to all my friends that have thrown bumpers
and birds and especially David Hoffman for the
hour less rides in you truck. Should have been
here, bring Maggie next time. Tim Clark, sorry
we could not be in Minnesota with you.”
Pete Sanfilippr
“The weather was delightfully nice, not the horror
stories we were told about.” Ron Door, from California.
Lots of people wanted to say hello to all of
their training buddies back home and say “Wish
you were here!” So to all of you that could not
make it:
Hello
&
Wish you were here!
