Hosted by the Wild Rose Retriever Club - Dogs placing first, second or fourth in the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) approved Amateur All-Age stakes or Open, Special or Limited All-Age stakes when handled by an amateur, hosted by members in good standing of the National Retriever Club Canada since July 1, 1998 and the winner of the 1999 U.S. National Amateur automatically qualify. Day by Day at the 1999 Canadian National Retriever Championship
Sunday, July 11,1999
The 1999 Canadian National Amateur got off to a great start today with a
banquet, auction, silent auction and calcutta. Dog #7 is a scratch due to
being in season. All other competitors ready to roll!! The judges are
extremely pleased with the grounds and were finished with setup Saturday
evening. The first series will be a land triple followed by a land blind
at the same location.
