I thought this might be fun. It is not intended to degrade anyone or
put anyone down in any way. Merely as game to see just how knowledgeable
some of you are. I will post the answers in a couple of days. Like I
said I thought some of you might enjoy taking it to see how you measure

Answers to a Retriever owner’s test:

1. At what age does a dog need to be before you can get its hips OFA certified? Answer – 2 yrs. or 24 months.
2. What does ACL stand for? Answer – Anterior Cruciate Ligament
3. What joint is the ACL located in? Answer – Stifle , half credit if you answered knee
4. What is the earliest age at which a dog’s hips can be graded by the Penn Hip method reliably? Answer – 16 weeks or 4 months
5. What is a cryptorchid? Answer – An undescended testicle, i.e. testicle is not in the scrotum.
6. What is the normal rectal temperature range for a dog? Answer – 100 to 102 deg. Fahrenheit.
7. Name two brands of Heartworm preventative? Answer – Heartgard - 30, Heartgard – 30 Plus, Interceptor, Revolution, Filaribits
