For many years Clive was very active in our sport. In 1982 he served as Vice-President, then President in 1983 of the National Amateur Retriever Club. In 1985 he judged the National Amateur stake held in Hugo, Minnesota. A longtime member of the National stakes Gun Committee he participated in numerous trials not only as a skilled marksman, but Captain and Co-Captain as well.
Clive was one of the founders of the Western Nebraska Retriever Club and served as its President. A dedicated outdoorsman, he was also a life sponsor of Ducks Unlimited and helped found a chapter in Scottsbluff.
As a businessman, Clive founded the Western National Bank in Scottsbluff in 1965 and served as a Director until it merged with the Scottsbluff National Bank in 1987.
Clive was a true gentleman.
