Mr. Wallace was the Chairman of the Board of Wallace Pencil Co., Area Chairman of the K-9 Corp for the United States Army and an ardent sportsman.

As owner of the Casa Audlon Kennels in Clayton, Missouri, he owned ' 45 NFC Black Magic of Audlon, ' 51 NFC Ready Always of Marian Hill and ' 73 NFC Bairds Centerville Sam, was Secretary of the Mississippi Valley Retriever Club and Judged many trials.
