Sending Photos to the
Working Retriever Central!
Photo Gallery
Photos can be sent to the Working
Retriever Central Photo Gallery four ways:
- JPG or GIF files as an attachment to an e-mail message
to retrievernews@mindspring.com.
- JPG or GIF files on diskette through the mail at
the postal address below
- JPG or GIF files can be downloaded by Working Retriever
Central from an existing web site document
- Actual photograph through the mail to the postal
address below
(Photographs will be color-scanned by Retriever
Field Trial News - Please note: Photographs cannot
be returned to sender)
JPG files, at 16 millions
colors, are preferred to GIF files, which are limited
to 256 colors. Please do not send any image files larger
than 100 kb. If necessary reduce size of image and resolution
to 72 dpi before transferring files by ftp or e-mail
attachment.
Please include the following information with the
photos/images of each working retriever:
- Registered Name (including titles)
- Call Name
- Breed and color
- Sex
- Date of Birth
- Sire and Dam
- Owner's Name
- Owner's City and State of Residence
IMPORTANT! In keeping with the theme of Working
Retriever Central, retrievers in the photos should be
working retrievers used in hunting upland birds and
waterfowl and/or hunt test or field trial competitors.
Photographs of retrievers taken at conformation dog
shows generally will not be appropriate on Working Retriever
Central. Pictures of hunting companions and gun dog
retrievers will be especially welcomed!
Interesting "group" pictures of retrievers and retriever
owners/handlers will be welcomed also.
Color or black and white photographs will be accepted
and should be high-quality images. Selected images may
be used for future WRC enhancements such as image maps
and other graphics. It may be necessary to resize or
crop some images. Placement of photographs/images in
the WRC Photo Gallery is at the sole discretion of Working
Retriever Central.
Currently only one picture of each retriever will be
placed in the Photo Gallery. This will reduce download
time of images for slower connections and reduce unnecessary
band-width usage on the Internet.
Thanks!
