Chica was the ultimate amateur dog being bred, owned, and trialed by Len Ferucci. She had in excess of 190 All-Age points. Two U.S. double header wins and a Canadian triple header. On the Derby list with 13 derby points. She qualified for 5 National Opens 1990-94 and 6 National Amateurs 1990-95. Chica was a finalist in the National Open 91 & 94, the National Amateur 1995, and a finalist four times in Canada. She was the number number 3 amateur dog in 1992.
Chica was an excellant producer. Among her thirteen titled offspring are the 1994 and 1997 high point derby dogs. One litter accumulated 214 derby points. Two of her outstanding offspring are Chavez and Tug. At the time of this article Chavez has twenty three titled offspring. Tug on the other hand was very precocious, having completed her FC and AFC while still in the derby.
