Dual Champion
Canadian Field Champion
Little Pierre Of Deer Creek

DOB: March 25, 1943
FC Hiwood Mike x FC Tar Of Arden
Bred and owned by Paul Bakewell III. Little Pierre was considered to be as good or better than Shed Of Arden. Little Pierre Of Deer Creek was unable to achieve this level of performance due to an early death. Thought to have been poisoned by a jealous competitor. With the loss of Pierre Bakewell's enthusiasm for retriever field trials
started to fade away.
Little Pierre qualified for 5 Nationals and was a finalst in 1946 and 1948. In his shortened career he was able to amass 79.5 Points. In addition he was able to earn sufficient points to become a Canadian Field Champion.
Sire of seven titled dogs that had the Dual quality passed through the genes of Little Pierre. Dual-AFC Matchmaker for Deer Creek, CH St Jones Blackie (qualified all-age & a few points short of AFC), and
CH Wardwyn Ace of Spades. Field trial competitor offspring were produced by the breeding to Tops of Bigstone and when Little Pierre was bred to his mother, Tar of Arden, producing FC Mary-Go-Round Deer Creek.
