FC-AFC Tarblood of Absaraka (Ludwig) was purchased as a weanling and was a member of the household throughout his life. Whether field trialing or hunting Lud always gave his all in everything he did.
Lud traveled from coast to coast and although lightly campaigned in his prime, he was a formidable performer and outstanding competitor. He was the youngest dog in the 1960 National Open and the oldest dog in that same stake in 1968. In all he ran seventeen Nationals, nine Opens and eight Amateurs; an impressive record in any era. He was known, loved and feared throughout the land.
During the course of his competitive career, Lud accumulated 232 All-Age points - 165 Open points and 67 ½ Amateur.
