RETRIEVERS OF THE PAST

1984 NAFC-FC

Trumarc's Zip Code

Trumarc's Zip Code

March 30, 1978 - October 14, 1993
(NFC-AFC San Joaquin Honcho x Seymour’s Windjammer Mist)
Owner: Judy Aycock

Judy acquired ’84 NAFC-FC Trumarc’s Zip Code (Cody) as a result of a breeding, arranged by Jerry Patopea, that involved her stud, NFC-AFC San Joaquin Honcho. In her words:

“Although not especially impressive as a youngster, Cody did show lots of style and marking ability, so I just kept training. He seemed to start putting it together at about twelve to fourteen months of age. He placed his first major stake at seventeen months, finished both titles by about two and a half, and was the youngest dog in the 1980 National Open.

He has been an extremely consistent performer, finishing three Nationals prior to his victory, being High Point Open Dog in 1982, High Point Amateur Dog in 1983, and winning four Double-Headers.’

Cody’s training has been guided from the very beginning by Rex Carr of Escalon, CA. His constant vigilance has kept me from slipping away from his very high standards for both myself and Cody. Rex deserves the lion’s share of the credit for taking an outstanding dog and developing him to his fullest potential.”

Cody accumulated an incredible 444 All-Age points during his competitive career – 250 ½ Open and 193 ½ Amateur.
